The Perfect Manicure

I've never been a huge fan of getting manicures. I love getting them, love how they look, but get so frustrated when the polish chips after only a day or two after being pampered. What's a girl to do?

This months issue of Marie Claire magazine has a great article featuring their top 10 beauty advances for 2010. One of their picks, gel nails, immediately caught my attention. It appears these "nails" are applied right over your existing nail in a gel form which is then cured under a UV light. The nails last about a month and your manicure looks perfect the entire time. Removal is easy with an acetone-soaked cotton ball wrapped around fingers under tin foil.

Has anyone tried gel nails? I'm curious if they're as good as they claim to be. A manicure that can last a month? I'm wiling to give it a try.
