Can't get enough of SKY

I can't get enough of SKY clothing. They make the most unique fashionable pieces. I love wearing my SKY dresses and tops. I always get complimented on my outfit. This new dress the Sky "Nelina Belted Tube" is by far my favorite. This looks great paired with skinny jeans or tights. Now that winter has come you can always pair a long sleeved tee underneath this dress for the layered look. The belt around the top of the dress is great detailing. This is a Must!!

I hope everyone had a great time at the party! I'm loving my new Susana Monaco "Charmeuse" Dress I purchased and wore last night! It fits so perfectly, and looks great on practically anyone! I love it long and elegant as is, but I am getting it tailored a few inches up since I know I will get more use out of it that way! Either length- it's gorgeous!

Sick :(

I am very sad to say that I have to miss the J. LaMore Christmas Party. I could not be anymore upset about it either! I ended up getting the flu early Wednesday morning. I was hoping it was just going to be a 24 bug, but no such luck.

Does anyone know of any good remedies for the flu? I need to get better quick!

Thanksgiving

After wearing my new Sky top out to dinner with my family in Michigan, my girl cousins decided that they love Sky as much as we all do! They had never heard of the designer, but now that they have they love it. Who couldn't love Sky? It fits amazing, looks great, and all the tops are one of a kind!

To the left is a picture of all the girl cousins on Thanksgiving. I'm wearing my favorite Susana dress, which I very graciously sent home with my sister who lives in D.C. I decided I'd let her borrow it until I see her at Christmas. Holiday Makeup Updates

Speaking of the upcoming holidays, I came across an article in Real Simple Dec 07 instructing us to "give your holiday makeup an update." The article gives tips on how to try metallic eyeliner, red lipstick, jewel-tone eye shadow, lush false eyelashes, or dark nail polish. (NOT all together, of course!!!) For those of us who are makeup-challenged (me) this article gives lots of great advice!

Wow! Sounds like everyone has a busy season planned- We are going to chill in Miami this year for Christmas (not really chill- it will probably be 80 degrees). You would be surprised at how festive the culture is down here for Christmas! My husband and I are going to host our Christmas Cocktail- I found some fun recipes like a Pomegranate Champagne Cocktail to try. If I weren't 7 months pregnant, I would definitely wear this Poleci "Granite Flower" Top with the Fashionista "Wide Leg" Trouser, and for a pop of color, the Boutique 9 "Debbie" Pump. Go Packers!

I love fall for the colors, the clothes, and the football! Ever since my days as a high school cheerleader for our state championship team, football has been a huge part of the season! Being from Wisconsin, I am an automatic Packers fan! (And I just love Brett Farve!) …I’ve been invited to the game against the Cowboys in Dallas this Thursday night, by some diehard Cowboys fans! Both teams are 10-1, and I have a "friendly rivalry" growing with some of my opposing team supporters! It should make for a really fun night!! I haven’t decided what to wear… I’ll be supporting Brett and the Pack with some sort of green or gold (but no hats made of any combination of cheese or foam)!!! Of course, I love any excuse to get a new pair of hot jeans. I think these sexy, but casual, jeans from Miss Me, with a cute little top, will show up all the gals from Dallas! Disco Themed New Years Eve

This year I am heading up to Seattle to ring in the New Year. The theme is Disco 70'S. I love any excuse to dress up and play a new role. I always want to make sure that I have everything planned out from head to toe, shoes to hair. I was thinking about wearing the ABS "Floral Pleated Mod" Mini. The colors and cut of this dress I think would be perfect. It has that vintage feel. What do you think? I will be wearing a wig, OF COURSE!!! What is dressing up with out a wig???

The craziest day of shopping

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving Holiday. It is always great being able to eat as much as you want with out having to justify a thing! I am in North Carolina visiting my family. It truly is beautiful here. The trees are still rich in color.

I didn't dare to go to the malls yesterday. It is crazy how early people get up in the morning to get what they think is a deal. Really it is that great of a deal if you are getting up at 3am fighting other women? To me it is not. I would rather shop on Jlamore.com and not have to try to fight the crowds. The items on Jlamore.com don't compare to the items in department stores. Jlamore offers pieces that are unique and you won't see them on every other woman walking down the street. Hello all! I hope everyone had a fabulous Thanksgiving, I know we did! I've never seen such a huge table prepared for Thanksgiving dinner- and that was only for the kids! It was a blast being with so much of my family at one time.

Although the Turkey and stuffing are great parts of Thanksgiving, the day after is what really gets me excited! I love the shopping!! This year while away from home (and away from J. LaMore...thank goodness for jlamore.com), I focused on little odds n' ends as well as accessories from little boutiques in downtown Birmingham, MI. I bought a gorgeous little planner on sale and a cute umbrella to match! As for my shoe purchase- I have to treat myself to Manas "Capri Nero" Boot as my "Black Friday" favorite buy. These boots are so fabulous, and let me tell you after a day of shopping in a trendy downtown, I saw no tall black boot better then this!!

I am always so excited to see the latest and greatest pieces that fill the pages of Jlamore.com. There is a great variety of different pieces to fulfill everyones own personal style. My favorite piece is the new Wendy Katlen "Charm" Dress.
The color and fabric of this dress is absolutely beautiful! I was browsing the pages of instyle.com and found that Heidi Klum was wearing a very similar dress. The color is so bright and electricfying. It really is a head turner. Julie models this dress with black tights which looks truly amazing. The contrast of the two bold colors really makes a statement.

The First Snow Fall!

Today is the first snow fall this winter. It is only a little flurry but I am so excited! This is my first snow ever. Growing up in San Diego I lived in 70 degree weather all year round. With that being said I am going to have to bundle up and make sure that I have all the proper Winter Gear and of course in the most stylish fashion possible. It just happend to be that the new Manas "Winter Marrone" Boot is going to be perfect for me this winter. I love the Manas "Capri Nero" Boot but I am a bit nervous to be prancing around in the snow with a three inch heel!!! The Manas "Winter Marrone" Boot is going to be durable and perfect for me! Turkey Day Outfit

What to wear to Thanksgiving dinner? This year we are having a HUGE family get together- including all of my aunts, uncles, and cousins on my dads side (there are 11 Aunts/Uncles, 20 Cousins, 1 fiance) plus my sister's boyfriend Zach's family will be joining us this year! We usually go to my Aunts house, but this year with the big crowd we are going to be celebrating at my families country club in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. So I need to dress pretty nice this year!

I know I have many J. LaMore outfits to choose from for this event. I love the ABS "Silk Triple Tab Sleeve" Blouse with the ABS "High Waist" Skirt. I have some great brown pumps that would match perfect. This could be the perfect Thanksgiving outfit!!

My New J. LaMore Purchases!

I love my new J. LaMore purchases! After an hour or so of browsing and trying things on in the store, I finally settled on getting a new Sky top and a new Qi Cashmere sweater. Both of these items are brand new and not on the site yet- but hopefully we'll see them soon!! To the left is a picture of me and my friend Kristin out to dinner in downtown Madison. Victoria Secret Fashion Show

I just got back from a whirlwind trip in Las Vegas, with a night in Los Angeles. The Vegas portion was the usual good time, but the real highlight might have been my night in LA, which included tickets to the Victoria Secret Fashion Show and of course the after party! …Talk about trouble deciding what to wear!! (I finally accepted the fact that no matter what I wore, no one would probably be looking in my direction, with a room full of gorgeous models.) ;)

I wore a short little dress, but the LA scene seems to be all about jeans – this whole outfit, with the totally luxe Britney top by Christopher Deane, would have been perfect - sexy but still very glam! Luckily, this ensemb is hot for any big night on the town...in LA, in NY, or anywhere!!!

New Years Eve is right around the corner. It is never to early to start planing on ringing in 2009 in style. This year I am going to Seattle to party it up with all my Amicis that I lived with in Italy my Junior year in college. When we all get together we pick up from were we all left off. That is when you truly know those are your true friends.
Party Bus and Bar hopping is the game plan for the evening. It is going to be cold being that it is going to be right in the midst of winter. Tis the weekend to go to Chicago!! I know Amanda you are going this weekend as well. I am so excited to relax, shop, shop, shop and maybe a little more shopping. Working in the food industry I have become friends with a lot of chefs. One restaurant that is well liked by all the chefs is Frontera Grill. It is a tough one to get into. I tried to make a reservation 2 weeks ago for two and they were packed. The estimated wait time on a Friday or Saturday is two hours. I am telling you it will be worth it. You can always put your name in and roam around town!
