Thanksgiving Attire

After doing some online shopping, I finally decided what I'll be wearing for Thanksgiving day! I'm thinking of pairing the Linq "Lurex Stripe Tunic" Sweater with my black leggings and flat over the knee black suede boots. I'll probably throw on some fun accessories (like a chic feather headband) for some added color.


What I'm REALLY excited for is the night before Thanksgiving. My family travels to Bloomfield Hills, MI where the rest of our family lives. The night before Thanksgiving is a huge night for partying/going to the bars there. My sisters, cousins, and I all go out together and it's a totally blast! I'm going to wear my new Maloom "Happy Hour" Dress- BUT I'm going to wear it backwards! No worries, I plan to wear a black tube top underneath it. I love the cut, and I'm really into high backs on dresses. I think it'll be a really chic look! Again I'll probably pair this with my over the knee boots. Those sure do come in handy!

What is everyone else planning on wearing for Thanksgiving? Also does anyone have any good recipes? It's "that time of year" and I love to hear of everyone's favorites!

Happy Thanksgiving!

I just want to wish everyone a happy Thanksgiving, especially my family in Wisconsin, who unfortunately, I won’t see until Christmas. I am so grateful for so many things this year, and always grateful for my wonderful parents and brother.

I want to tell my mom, especially, how grateful I am for our friendship and how much I appreciate the great time we had last month in Wisconsin (including the great shopping spree we had at J. LaMore). …I miss you Mom and couldn’t pick a better friend to shop with!

Happy Feet

I saw the movie Happy Feet today and thought it was just adorable! It didn't get the best reviews, which I can understand because the plot isn't all that original, but I still think its worth seeing! It's a great movie for all ages, perfect movie to see with the family during Thanksgiving weekend!

P.S. That turkey really looks delicious!

Thanksgiving

Amanda K, You're outfit sounds adorable. My Thanksgiving will be somewhat untraditional this year - my boyfriend is cooking!! It's just going to be the two of us for dinner, though we'll probably meet friends for after-dinner drinks at a swanky downtown bar later in the night. I need an outfit to match the elegant meal my boyfriend is planning as well as a night of cocktails with friends later... I love both the Stila (at left) and Darcel blouses by Elie Tahari and think either would be perfect for a "romantic" Thanksgiving dinner. :) The chocolate brown is amazing, and one of my favorite colors for Thanksgiving. Both tops are so beautiful, I think I can't go wrong in either one with a great trouser in brown or black.
