Being the regular that I am on various fashion blogs, I've decided to bring a periodical roundup of fashion news from around the web to J. Lamore magazine. What's going on this week in fashion? Read on to find out.

C is for Curves, Chanel: Plus-size model Crystal Renn walked in the Chanel Resort show, an unprecedented event on a Chanel catwalk. This sure comes as a breath of fresh air after all that Coco Rocha business a few months back. André Leon Talley, editor at large for Vogue, called the choice to cast Renn in the show “groundbreaking.” {Vogue.com}

Gown Glory: Who What Wear picks out their favorite red carpet wear from the Met Gala. Some knockouts were Diane Krueger, Emma Watson and Camilla Belle. {WhoWhatWear}

Gucci goes Couture: Gucci is launching Gucci Première, a division of custom gowns, which will meet demands for the one-of-a-kind looks celebs seek for the red carpet and other events. Gucci creative director Frida Giannini says she will take inspiration for her custom gowns from the cinema: movie heroines, like Holly Golightly, and their fantastic wardrobes. {WWD}

Bag of Schit: Fashionista meditates on the Schitbag, a “Hands-Free Designer Belt Bag,” which is, in other words, a glorified fanny pack. The makers of the bag think it is in line to become the New Status Purse, but bloggers at Fashionista don’t think anyone is going to be able to get past its unfortunate name.
