I love the new Twisted Heart "House of Twisted" Jacket! It's such a great look. I'm loving the change from a hoodie to just a zip up!...it's refreshing! I love the style of the collar! The back is the best part about this whole outfit. I want it! I need it!

Why didn't I try this on when I was home! I was just browsing the site while listening to the new Britney (love it :)!!!) and I saw this gorgeous sweater/jacket that I wish I had taken a closer look at while I was in the store! The ABS "Tweed Swing" Jacket is so cute and it just looks so comfy!! I would still consider it dress-up-able of course. . . I'd love it with some fancy J. LaMore Jeans and brown boots!
We love fashion shows at J. LaMore! All of us at the store have been busy planning everything and enjoying every minute of it.
Jessica and I having been busy planning the Chi Omega Fashion Show. It's going to be a huge event with around 300 people! Even better, proceeds go to the Make a Wish Foundation. I wish every jlamore.com friend could be there, but we will be sure to take a lot of photos for everyone.

One of my all time favorite top notch designers has always been Chanel. All of the looks and designs are created with class and sophistication. This years Runway show was a hit. The fashion jewelry to handbags are all classic that can be worn forever.
The Qi Cashmere "Waffle Knit" Cardigan resembles the classic Chanel blazer. This classic cardigan is a staple piece in any wardrobe. This cardigan looks great with a Sledge top to give your look edge or a simple tee. Either way this is a beautiful piece.

It is always so much fun to see pictures from Halloween. Sorry it has taken me so long to get some Halloween pictures up. In the picture to the left Paris (my roommate Ashley), Me (Lohan), and Nicole (my roommate Meghan). We had a blast. On the back of our jail jump suits we spray painted HILTON, LOHAN, AND RITCHIE in glam gold. The party was a hit on Saturday. We had a wide variety of costumes from boxers to Mario and Lugi. Halloween is always one of my favorite holidays. It is always fun to dress up and be something or someone different for a day.
This will be my first halloween day that I am not going to dress up. I guess this is growing up. Instead, I will pass out candy to all the little Snow Whites and Buzz Lightyears that roam through the street go to sleep and wake up the next morning and can't wait for it to be halloween next year!

Sounds like everyone had a great Halloween weekend! Our main event (trick-or-treating) may be cancelled because of Tropical Storm Noel.. we'll have to wait and see. Bri was a devil, my best friend Katie was little red ridding hood, and I was a pirate wench! To the right is my little girl Chance dressed up as a hot dog (she enjoyed the ketchup).

As we all know by now, Grey is the it color this fall fashion season. Different shades of grey fill the runways, department stores, and jlamore.com. Different shades of grey are pieced together with different bold colors like fushia and mustard yellow. The contrast of these colors to the naked eye is inviting and truly poses a statement. Who are we kidding? I agree with Kalyn, I am definitely going out to buy Britney's new cd. I have always loved her music! She doesn't always make the best decisions but she is entertaining. Let's be honest, who doesn't love reading about all her drama?
If that's not convincing enough, her new album is actually receiving great ratings. It's planned to be the best dance album in stores! I love to dance, so bring it on!

On a side note, Mary (second from left) is the daughter of Kay. Mary was given up for adoption at birth and was reunited with Kay (and her husband and father Tom) 36 years later! The odds of that happening has got to be in the millions to one! The story behind this is worthy of an appearence on Oprah!

Sorry I've been missing for a few weeks. Things in Chicago have been crazy. We had the second ever fashion week two weeks ago and it was great. Lots of great designers coming out of the Midwest. We just finished working on the November holiday issue. Can you believe its the holiday issue already? I can't! And, in some really exciting news: We featured Ali Precious jewelry in our October issue. I've attached the page so you can see the write up.
After I saw the new Whiting & Davis mesh clutches at J. LaMore, I was instantly reminded of one of MY FAVORITE clutches of all time – a silver mesh clutch that I bought my freshman year in high school (in 1994) for an old boyfriend’s prom! I STILL use that clutch to this day! (I just took a picure of it and posted it, at left.) I’ve had this clutch for so long that I had forgotten where I bought it and who made it. I just checked, and sure enough, it’s a Whiting & Davis!
Take it from me, you will keep these clutches in your wardrobe for years – I’ve had mine for 13 – and I still get so many compliments. One of my girlfriends even asked to borrow it a couple weeks ago. You can't beat staying power like that!

I LOVE a clutch – for evening AND for day – and I'm so glad to see this new collection by Whiting & Davis at J. LaMore. Clutches bestow a smart, ladylike look that I just can’t get from my oversized bags, and yet they still provide enough room for my credit cards, I.D., lipstick, etc. These metal mesh bags are perfect additions to my assortment.
Whiting & Davis has a serious celebrity following, and their bags have been spotted under the arms of Jessica Simpson and Paris Hilton, to name just a couple… These clutches are super fashionable and at a really reasonable price! Love them!

I'm not usually the type of person to wear black jeans. I actually didn't even consider getting a pair until I saw these on jlamore.com! I love the style of the straight leg jean because their a little edgy! The way the Union "Rose Straight Leg" Jeans fit is just very appealing to me. They look great with this pump, I think that I will also wear them tucked into a boot for the fall season. HOT!
Tis the season for boots, boots, boots. There are so many great boots at Jlamore right now. I find it very hard to go boot shopping. I always want to get something that is out of the norm and not the typical black knee high boot. The Modern Vintage "Summer Cherokee" Boot is the best looking boot I have seen this season in any store. It is important to always have that classic boot in your closet but this but is one of a kind that you can not pass up. Tuck the Modern Vintage "Summer Cherokee" Boot in a pair of skinny jeans and a chunky sweater and you are ultra chic and warm!

I've been googling around to find weight maintenance/loss websites and I found the best one. It's a FREE website where you can log your goals and what you need to do to reach your goals. You enter what you eat (it has virtually every food) and the exercise you have done for the day. At the end of the day, it gives you an analysis of how you did that day calorie intake wise, along with giving you a "nutrition grade." So far today I have a C-! Oops! Well, more motivation to go work out so I can look even better in my J. LaMore clothing!

Amanda, although I'm from Madison, I actually do live in Milwaukee now. Unfortunately, I'm not the best person to come to for anything unless it has to do with college life. The one thing I have heard is great are the shops on East Brady street. I personally have never had the chance to get over there, but I hear its a nice area with cute little shops (clothes stores like J. LaMore, as well as little gift shops, art galleries, etc.)
Let me know what you guys do in Milwaukee and what you end up liking. I'd love to hear more about the city that I live in since I don't get to experience it in that way!

How great are all the new Modern Vintage boots! I love them all, but my favorite are the Modern Vintage "Summer Cherokee" Boot in chocolate brown. They look fabulous with the Susana Monaco "Pleated Jewel Neck" Dress which I am lucky enough to own myself. If I had this whole outfit.... holy cow, what a dream come true! Beautiful!!

Hi Friends: I am going to be in Milwaukee in a couple weeks for my ex-boyfriend’s wedding! (Yes, a biggie)! Although I’m still working on the what-to-wear, I could particularly use some help with any recommendations for dinner, brunch, drinks, etc. I am going to be in town from Friday night until Sunday afternoon. My boyfriend (that is, my CURRENT boyfriend) wants to take a tour of Miller Brewery, but we otherwise don’t know of any other things or places that are must-do or must-see. Does anyone else think this is the season of the jacket?? I can’t remember any other season when I have coveted SO MANY fall jackets. My collection keeps growing (even if the temperatures aren’t dropping). I love versatility (don’t we all), but this season I keep finding more and more jackets that I just “have to have!” I either have (or want) a particular jacket for when I wear black, a jacket for when I wear brown, one for when I’m accessorizing with gold, and one for when I’m accessorizing with silver... And of course, I still have others that are just so beautiful, I can’t pass them up!
