What a night for Idol fans!

Hi Jennifer and friends: I am heart broken at the performance of my favorite American Idol singer, Brooke White. She really needed to have a good night and I'm afraid she'll be in the bottom three if not booted off the show. Her performance of "You've got a Friend" written by Carol King and made famous by James Taylor was dull, boring, and ho hum at best. I thought Simon was extra kind to her and didn't crush her with his criticism. He said it sounded like a walk in the park and then bobbed his head from side to side as if to say it was boring. Plus, I didn't like her outfit. She also needs to quit being so weepy. She's crying all the time.

Carly Smithson had a terrible performance (worse then Brooke) that even Paula (Did you see her outfit. Whoa! Losen up those straps.) said was not good. She is going to the "chairs" for sure. And, they keep showing her creepy faced husband in the audience. Can you imagine waking up next to that guy. He reminds me of Hannibal Lector. Gross! Simon was nice to her and said that she "looked great so, lets get that out of the way." His comment is in reference to last week when he was critical of her outfit as well as her song choice. Simon then said she sounded angry and defiant in her singing as well as a poor song choice and I had to agree. She had a frown on her face during the song and Simon was right, she sounded and looked angry. I learn so much from his and Randy's critique.

But the real shocker of the night was Kristy Lee Cook. She nailed her song and she looked fantastic. Her best performance EVER and no "bottom three" chair for her. In addition, she wasn't wearing a Sky top this time.

David Cook was also a bust. He's the really good rocker of the group and I'm shocked he failed so terribly. I guess it's inevitable. You can't do it right every time. The cheesy little hand in the camera at the end which said "Give Back" was pompous and arrogant as he must have thought he was so cool doing it because of the Idol Gives Back thing that going on tonight but walking into the crowd like he did is so "Vegas baby" akin to Wayne Newton.

David Archuleta was very good and he seems to be the fan favorite, especially with the young girls in the crowd. One young girl was holding up a sign in the crowd that said "Hey David, lick those lips". Gotta make your momma proud. His song was good and he has a niche that works for him.

Gotta go now and watch for the bottom three to see if I'm right. Brooke White, Carly Smithson and David Cook.
