Susana Monaco "Tuscan Halter" Top

Summer is just around the corner and I love all the amazing colors that are coming out! This Susana Monaco "Tuscan Halter" Top is the perfect example of the rich colors to come this season!

I own a million tops by Susana Monaco and I plan to own a million more!

Kalyn

Oh my. . . Paula!

Hi everyone: I have to agree with all the buzz around the Internet about Paula Abdul. She should be voted off the show right along with Jason Casto. Jason doesn't care he's even there. He so dumb too! He says he singing the wrong lyrics for the song he chose right in front of Neil Diamond. OMG are you kidding me? Why would he admit that to the world.
Simon is right, he sounds like a college kid strumming his guitar and singing in his dorm room. Give him the boot. At least Brooke who is up and down in her performances is really trying. She may not win but she's trying. I can hardly wait until tonight to see who gets voted off with Paula. :)
By the way, I really like that Alice & Trixie 'Flirt' dress and the 3 J Workshop "Budapest" Tunic Dress. Too cute!
So long from London, England.
Clare London, ENG

I really should start watching American Idol!

American Idol must be pretty entertaining this season if all the friends but me knows what is going on! I'll have to start watching it... soon!!

As for the new items at J. LaMore. Oh my goodness, the Alice & Trixie "Flirt" Dress is amazing!!! I also really love all the new summer Susana Monaco tops. Great colors and styles!!

Today before class I threw on my Miss Me "Montague" Jeans and my Troo "Chopper Yoga" Hoodie. I never noticed how well the design on the back pocket of the jeans works with the design on the hoodie! Too perfect!!

Oh No Paula

I knew when I looked online today there would be so many jokes about Paula Abdul's slip up last night. I agree with you Lynn about voting her off! This is live tv you can't have someone like Paula on who is always making weird comments that don't make any sense to anyone.
I was embarrassed for Paula and in her defense I heard on the radio that the judges hear the songs before they go live, so she actually did hear his second song.
At least it makes the show that much more interesting to watch.

Paula should be voted off!

Is it just me or does anyone else think Paula Abdul should be voted of American Idol. I didn't understand one thing she was saying tonight and when she speaks I want to throw my wine glass at the TV.

She is either completely insane or drunk and let's get a rally going to have her and Jason Castro voted off the show.
Jason Castro's performance was awful. Just plain awful.. . . . . He needs to go, and quick.

Alice & Trixie "Flirt" Dress

I've never heard of Alice & Trixie, I really am liking it! I think that this Alice & Trixie "Flirt" Dress has some beautiful color combinations in it! It's a lot different from what I would usually pick to wear, it has a very innocent look to it.
I want this dress to wear to my friends wedding in late May....do you think that it's wedding appropriate?

Salvage

I couldn't agree more with you Kalyn, I love everything from Salvage too. My favorite of all is this "Glory Bound" Tube Top. It's great that it can also be worn as a dress.
Salvage has so many different and unique elements to all of their clothes. All of the criss crosses and studs gives off a rockstar look.
What is so great about their stuff is it can be worn all year long, there will be no need to pack this away in the fall, just throw on some leggings and boots and you are good to go.

Salvage "Circle of Life" Top

I love when I see new Salvage on www.jlamore.com! It's one of my favorite designers, it's so edgy and sexy and looks like no other tops that are out there! The Salvage "Circle of Life" Top is my favorite!

Madison Fashion Week Photo Shoot

WOW! I have to show some of the photo's we took during the model fittings for the fashion show tonight for Madison Fashion Week. Some of the professional runway models we have for the show tonight are from all over the Midwest and they are AMAZING! WOW!

We have ten models but ran out of time right now to put them all up on the blog.

These gals are incredible and we had so much fun watching them pose and "work it" for the camera. The new friends and contacts that we made participating in this event has been wonderful. We also want to say thank you to Jessica, our amazing stylist who organized the fittings and put all of this together for J. LaMore. We couldn't have done this without you.

Great Job Jennifer! What a star!

Hi Jennifer: Nice job on Madison Fashion Week. You have quite a buzz going! It's no great surprise to anyone who knows you that you would be the go-to person for that. I saw the video on you from the link and thought I would add it for everyone else to see and read about J. LaMore. I wish I was there. Sounds like a lot of fun.

Madison Fashion Week!

Julie!!!! I'm also sooo excited about MFW!

I've met so many great people involved in all the events and I'm so thrilled to be a part of such a great event!

J.LaMore is going to put the "most wanted" items for Spring 08 in the fashion show!
Jessica

June "Burnished Leather Hoodie" Jacket

I see all the hot celebrity's like Lindsay Lohan, Jessica Alba, Rachel Bilson, and Paris Hilton wearing leather hooded jackets lately! I have to say that they all look fabulous in them and made me want to own my own! So I had to buy the June "Burnished Leather Hoodie" Jacket!
It certainly is easy to wear and looks good styled so many different ways!

The Fashion Week Fun Continues!

Jennifer! Just saw you and the store on the news talking about Fashion Week! You look so fabulous in that Salvage top. (Jess! I saw you too!)

Idol Shocker. . . ! Goodbye Carly!

Ok! Ok! Ok! All my friends at work will say to me "I told you so". I now have to give in to the power of the "fan base". It's either that or I'm tone deaf and need to see a doctor.

How Jason Castro didn't make it to the bottom "two" last night is all based on his fan base. That can be the only explanation because there is NO comparison between him and Carly Smithson. Not even close! None what-so-ever! Don't even try!
Carly got the boot! Why you ask? Fan base! Carly didn't have it and Jason does. At this stage it appears that talent has nothing to do with winning anymore. Carly has a creepoid-tattoo-faced husband (who they keep showing in the audience which cannot be good for the young Idol watchers) and Jason is a young single boy who all the girls love. (Even with the dread locks.) Hmmmm! Can we all say "fan base!"

Jason, who I believe, could care less whether he wins or not was even shocked he was safe last night. Even Brooke was shocked. People love Brooke. She's sweet, but weepy and adorable and all of us can forgive a big mistake.

Latest news from the LA Times: After Brooke was pronounced "safe" by Ryan Seacrest, she ran to the couch as the show went to commercial and laid faced down on the couch sobbing uncontrollably. It was so bad that Paula Abdul walked onto the stage to comfort her. Meanwhile, Syesha turned her back to the crowd and cried as well. Can Brooke be more needier? C'mon!
Syesha has to be thinking - "I sang my heart out and I'm still in the chairs." Fan Base!
Next week it's Neil Diamond songs and I will have to give up my predictions until I consult my 13 year old niece.

Fashion Week!!!...

...has officially begun! Unfortunately I'm stuck in Milwaukee till Friday so I cannot make any of the weekday events, but those of you who do... I'd love to hear about them! I can't wait for the first event I can go to which is the Friday night Menswear Runway Show. It's going to be a blast!! Click the picture to the right for more information about all the events!

Jennifer, I saw this article in the Badger Herald. I love the... "For me, the goal of Madison Fashion Week is to create an awareness that fashion does exist here in Madison, and that we are not just a bunch of cheeseheads.” You're too funny ( and so right) Jennifer!!

Happy Madison Fashion Week to everyone in the area and to those who are making the trip for it! And best of luck to Kristi Moe who is pulling this amazing event off for its first year ever. I know it is going to be fabulous!!

J. LaMore and Madison Fashion Week

Fashion Week has officially hit Madison WI and we are incredibly excited! Take a peak at the Madison Fashion Week website which gives, in detail, every event that is taking place over the next four days. If you are in the area, come to the events! It is going to be a blast. Lindsey, are you planning on coming up from Milwaukee?

We fit this gorgeous model, Ashley, yesterday for the runway show on Saturday night. She is wearing a couple of the new items that just came in! She is amazing! Thanks Ashley for helping out J. LaMore and Madison Fashion Week!
Hope to see everyone there!

American Idol

Idol was a little disappointing for me last night. I didn't like too many performances. Although, Randy was right when he told David Archuleta his song was the "bomb" I could'nt agree more. Give him any song and he will blow it out of the water. Overall, I think both Davids are going to be on top.

I agree with you Lynn, I think Brooke, Jason and Syesha will be in the bottom three.

Amy

Brooke, . . Noooooo!

Oh Brooke! What happened! I'm crushed that Brooke White stumbled on the first few words of her Andrew Lloyd Webber song "You must love me" and had to tell the conductor to start over. I was stunned! But then, she came back strong and the song was breathtaking. She did a fantastic job with it.

However, (drama) Simon and Randy didn't care for it that much and Bimbo Abdul told her she should never start over but just keep singing through the mistake. I completely disagree with that advice. Even Randy and Simon said she did the right thing by starting over. At least Brooke didn't break down and cry but, her lip did quiver a little.

I feel that Brooke will be in the bottom three for sure and will probably be voted off tonight. There is hope for her, though. Jason Castro sang the song "Memory" from Cats and it was awful! Even Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber thought it was a bad choice and he has never hear a male sing that song. Randy called it a "train wreck" and Simon said "it was the longest two minutes of my life." Jason had never heard the song before and didn't know that it was sung by a female cat in the play "Cats". Wow! I must be really old.

The highlight of the evening was listening to 'Sir Andrew' teach and talk to the contestants. Amazing! What a talent he is and so interesting to listen too.

Carly Smithson had a great performance of Jesus Christ Superstar. I loved it. What I really thought was interesting was when 'Sir Andrew' told her not to sing the song she wanted to sing and switch to 'Superstar'. How can Simon and Randy say it was a bad song choice when Andrew Lloyd Webber tells her to sing it. Good call and it was great.

David Archuleta and David Cook we're really good too! Syesha Mercado was, well, . . . forgetable. She looks fantastic but her range in singing is not good. The judges liked her but I'm still a hold out.

My picks for the bottom three are: Brooke, Jason and Syesha. Brooke gets the hook.

Happy Earth Day!

At J.LaMore we have the cutest things that you can wear to represent on earth day!
You could carry this Vert "Green is the New Black" Tote Bag around, which I have, and believe that it's the perfect summer tote! You could also wear this Vert "I Love The Earth" Tank Top! It's adorable and looks great with a pair of jeans!

Happy Earth DAY!

Rocker Tee

I'm so excited about my new rocker tee shirt I got from J. LaMore. I wore it to a friends party on Saturday and got tons of compliments. I paired it with dark wash wide leg jeans and big hoop earrings. It was different from what I normally wear so people were a little surprised by it.

My dad was a huge fan of Black Sabbath back in the day so I thought it would be a cool vintage look. A couple of my girlfriends really liked all of the rhinestones, but what girl doesn't like a little sparkle!

Amy

New Fashionsita

It sounds like all of the friends are loving the new Fashionista stuff coming in. It's all so chic and sophisticated, of course I love it too.

The Fashionista "Dawn" Dress is one of my new favorites because it would be a perfect day into night look. For work I could pair it with a cardigan and tights. At night I could wear it with flashy heels and some funky jewelry.

I'm always looking for versatile pieces like this for my wardrobe.

Amy

Fashionista

Every year when spring rolls around I'm always wanting to get a new pair of white pants! Their just so refreshing after wearing dark clothes all winter long. I have my eye set on the Fashionista "Birkin" Pant! These will go great with all my new and old J.LaMore tops!
......and there's nothing better than FREE SHIPPING!

Cute New Items... As Always!

I love the new Fashionista "Colleen" Top!! The geometric pattern is so cute!! All the summer items that J. LaMore is getting in are so beautiful. Those homepage images sure make me want to find a reason to wear a blouse and a pencil skirt!

I only have 3 more weeks of class and I cannot wait for summer!!

Fashionista "Jennie" Blouse

This Fashionista "Jennie" Blouse looks amazing! I'm loving the color and that it's 100% silk. It goes really well with the Fashionista "Leopard" Skirt.
This will be a great look for work, and I also think that the top will go great with a pair of wide leg light wash jeans too!

This look is so feminine and sexy, I can't wait to wear it!

Sky Top

It's always fun to see what new and great things Sky comes up with. I think this "Adey Rock" Top is so bright and hip for Spring. Sky always has great colors and beautiful beading too.

I can picture myself wearing this top with my Miss Me "Montague" Jeans and a great pair of heels out for a night with the girls.

Jennifer, let me know if you find those jeans, they were too cute!

Amy

Idol

Hi Amy and Friends!

I have become such a fan of all the contestants on American Idol that it really bothers me when they get voted off! I know Kristy Lee had to go, she's not one of the strongest ones, but I have really grown to like her! She was so sad, it made me sad! Then, Brooke was so sad, I thought I was going to cry! This is really beginning to stress me out! I can't wait for next week though!

I loved the jeans Kristy Lee was wearing! Everyone has been talking about them all day! Don't worry, I am searching high and low to find out the manufacturer! If I find them, we will sell them!

Kristy's gone. . . Brooke bumbs me out!

Hi everyone: Kristy's gone and I have to say, I feel kinda bad about it. I don't think she's that great but she's not that bad either. For the longest time she was driving me crazy but now, I think I'm going to miss her. Knowing that she's gone is just one step closer to Brooke being voted off! Brooke is such a whinny weepy little thing. Crying all the time is not helping her and she cannot take any form of criticism whatsoever. Now she is the one who's driving me crazy and the next Idol voted off and now I can hardly wait. Kristy was tougher and faced the criticism ten times better then "weepy".

That's officially my new name for Brooke.

That Mariah Carey song was hot! I loved it and can hardly wait to down load it on Itunes.

Bye Bye

Bye Bye Kristy Lee Cook! I'm feel kind of bad, but I'm really glad Kristy went and not Brooke. I know I'm not the only one who is happy about Americas decision. Even though, Brooke has not impressed me lately I am still of fan of hers.

The girls better step it up next week. I was still shocked that Carly wasn't in the bottom this week.

Jennifer, I can't wait to hear your thoughts. I know you are as addicted as the rest of us.

Amy

Kisty Lee should go!

Hi Jennifer and everyone: I found this very funny picture of Kristy Lee Cook on the TMZ. The TMZ knows all and I get tons of gossipy good stuff from the them.

Check this out! Nice hair! I agree with all of you that the boys kicked the girls butt this week. I am so hooked on this show and its getting fun to watch and see what happens as it get closer to the end. Kristy Lee Cook should get voted off. She's hung around far too long with average talent.

Clare London Eng.

Idol fans. . . Brooke's in Trouble

Hi Amy and everyone at jlamore.com: I have to agree, the men we're so much better then the girls in Idol last night. Not even close and the bottom three are Brooke, Kristie Lee, and Carly, and I fear that weepy Brooke will get the boot. I used to really like her and maybe I just don't anymore. She has let me down far to many times.

I also noticed that Carly Smithson covered up her hideous tattoo. Finally! I wonder if she is getting pressure from someone to cover it up as we're all tired of seeing it. Kristie Lee was awful and so was Carly. Actually, anyone one of them is going home. It's a toss up.

I have to also agree with you that David Cook was FANTASTIC! He is so good and David Archuleta was very good. Again! He is the crowd favorite by far. At least with the younger audience.
Stay tuned!
Lynn LA, CA
By the Way! I loved the movie Juno!

Juno

Not only did I watch Idol and Dancing with the Stars, but Juno too. I have been dieing to see this movie, so of course I rented it the day it came out. I have been hearing what a great movie this was. I had very high expectations and I was not disappointed. It was a great movie!

Juno was so cute and funny, she is a great actress. It was sad and happy with a very realistic plot. Everyone needs to see this movie, I promise you will love it.

Amy

Idol

American Idol was awesome last night!! The guys blew the girls out of the water...yet again. David Cook was absolutely amazing his emotions helped him in this competition. Those judges are so tough and to see how much they loved him was so inspiring.
David Archuleta also did a fantastic job last night and he is too cute for words. He just warms my heart every time I see him.
I am still bummed out that Michael Johns is gone, he was one of my favorites. I miss him!
I can't say too much about the girls... I'm a little disappointed.

Soul Revival "O-Ring Flower" Dress

This is the perfect dress for Summer 08! It's so practical that I can wear it during the day at work matched with flats (I'm all about the comfy cute look)! This Soul Revival "O-Ring Flower" Dress will also look great with some bohemian styled jewelry that's making a huge come back this summer.
