Wilster "Gun Metal Silk" Dress

I am loving the new Wilster "Gun Metal Silk" Dress. It is so beautiful, so trendy, and so affordable! I'm unfamiliar with this designer, but I'm sure it'll become a new favorite if items like this keep being designed! Maybe I'll be able to try this on this weekend when I'll be coming home (surprise!) I'll be stopping into the store someday and I can't wait to see all the new items in person. I'll report back to what I really love in person, and what I end up purchasing (that's not even a maybe, its a guaranty I won't leave empty handed!)

** Is it too early to be listening to Christmas Music? I can't help myself, I've already started to count down the days!!

Holiday!

I'm so excited about the whats new! The merchandise looks amazing and I want everything! The Poleci "Burnout Tie Neck" Dress is stunning! I think this is a phenomenal dress to wear over the Holidays...it's classic and trendy, my favorite part is the sophisticated bow around the neck. It's lovely!

Hi friends! Where does the time go? Its been two weeks since I’ve blogged and so much has happened for me to share. In just two weeks, I…

1.) Became an aunt for the third time! I finally got a niece. Won't be long until she’s shopping by my side at jlamore.com! I also got to got to trick-or-treat with the proud older brothers – Thomas the Train and Buzz Light Year! Fun times.

2.) Got a job promotion! Now I need to update my wardrobe to fit the part. I'm sure jlamore.com will come to the rescue!

3.) Attended my first bar mitzvah. I am quite positive that I was the only first-timer there and had a blast learning about this festive celebration! What a party!!

Hope everyone is doing well! Can’t wait to see “What’s New” and what I've been missing!

Tis the season!

The holiday season is upon us, are you prepared?Jlamore.com has everything you need to be the biggest hit at any party you go to.

Two of my favorite holiday selections are the Christopher Deane "Britney" Top, and the ABS "U-Yoke Woven" Top. I plan on wearing the ABS Top to my families Thanksgiving party and the Christopher Deane Top to a New Years Eve Party.

So Electric

WOW!
This new dress by Wendy Katlen is too hot for words! It is the best new item at jlamore.com...by far! Not only do I love the color but the deep v-neck and the ruffle sleeves gives this dress just the right amount of flair.

Celebrities, Sandals, and Boots!

As I was watching Desperate last night, I noticed that my favorite character Gabby (aka the gorgeous Eva Longoria) was wearing the Boutique 58 "Emma Jane" Silver Sandal! (For those of you who saw it, during the scene when Gabby and Victor were walking on the Pier/Getting on the boat is when you could see them!) I love seeing celebrities in J. LaMore fashions.

Even though it felt like I could wear those sandals today (I think it was like 65, at least it felt like it!), I know I need to get into boot mode. After a little shopping, I noticed that jlamore.com still has the Beverly Feldman "Hybrid" in tan in my size. Those boots are gorgeous, and I would love to wear them around this winter!! I'm also very very into the shoe boot (although not as practical with the mounds of snow I will be trucking through to get to class). The Modern Vintage "Althea" Shoe Boot are the perfect shoe boot for this winter.

Jackets to Help My Glove Addiction...

I don’t know about the rest of you, but I’ve been accumulating a collection of long gloves this year after learning about their popularity for the fall and winter. From basic leather, to patent, to a really wild Pucci-print in pink, green, and black, I really want to show them off in a chic three-quarter length sleeve!! I might have done things in reverse, but I’m finding that I really need to supplement my wardrobe with more jackets in order to properly display my gloves – my coats from last year just don’t cut it! …I can’t help but notice that so many of the coats and jackets at J. LaMore have the perfect three-quarter length sleeves – a perfect fit to this year’s trend - and a perfect solution to my long glove addiction!

My Vacation!

Hi everyone!
I'm back from my fabulous vacation in Fort Myers, Florida! I had such a blast, and it was great to reunite with my whole family again. The weather was absolutely beautiful, 84 degrees and sunny everyday. It made me really jealous of people like Amanda living in Miami...Lucky! The picture to the left is my Uncles and I on Bonita Beach, and to the right is my adorable 18 month old cousin Derek in his Halloween costume.

Living a life of Glamour

There is nothing that I love more than fashion inspired books. Many people would consider these books nice "coffee table" toppers. For me they are inspirational and teach me more and more about fashion. Rachel Zoe, a stylist to top notch celebrities, Keira Knightly, Kate Moss, Mischa Barton has come out with her first book, Style A to Zoe. This books outlines the art of fashion beauty and how to make your entire life not just your look glamorous. It will inspire you to go above and beyond your normal style security and try different pieces but still maintaining comfort and confidence. Confidence is the most important factor when you walk out of your house to either go on a date or just another day in the office. The lack of confidence will be seen in your whole ambiance.
One point that Rachel makes is that it is so important to have an inspiration for your style and fashion. For her it was her mother, always very tan and over done with chunky jewelry. This inspiration will allow you to pull ideas into your everyday life. This is important not to copy exactly what you like off someone else but turn it into your own style and look. Copying exactly off another never works.
Style A to Zoe is a fun book that will truly inspire you and impact your life. You will find that many pieces off Jlamore will aid in defining your look!

Chicago Restaurants

Amanda K: I just spent a couple days in Chicago and had a great time. My mom and I saw Jersey Boys, which was incredible, and also had a couple fantastic meals! We ate at Tru and Les Nomades, both terrific!

I would also HIGHLY recommend Alinea and Moto for a really special meal and experience. I blogged about both last year, as two restaurants on my “must-try” list. (Check out my blog entry under “Chicago Restaurants.”) I have since eaten at both… For my birthday, my boyfriend and I flew to Chicago for the sole purpose of dining at Alinea (considered the best restaurant in America, according to Gourmet Magazine). The meal was ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE! Moto is also terrific – great food and really unique; think menus printed on edible crackers! Of the two, Moto was more casual and hence, probably a bit more “fun.” But my meal and experience at Alinea was unforgettable; think 20-plus courses with superb wine pairings! (Check out the bison course at left!) Enjoy!

Have a good weekend everyone! P.S. can you believe its already Nov 9th? Where does the time go!

Chicago Restaurants??

Ok, all of you Chicago residents and Midwesterners, it is time for my annual weekend Christmas shopping trip on Michigan Avenue. I have been placed in charge of dinner reservations, and need some recommendations. Our hotel is on Michigan Ave (I think it is the Four Points Sheraton Downtown/Magnificent Mile). I think we'd like to have one casual night, and one "big-night-out". I will be with two other ladies.. can't wait to hear what you come up with!
