Thanks Jennifer. . . Love your favorite stuff!

Hi Jennifer and welcome Mollie. It's so nice to have new friends. I just have to say I can't wait to get my Ojon from Jennifer's Favorite Things. That's such a great idea and so nice of you as it's expensive. I've never tried it before but if you say it's good then it must be and I can't wait to get mine.

I ordered the Language maxi dress and I can't wait to get that too. It's so beautiful and priced right. Love it! Love it! Love it!
I have a couple of fashion events to go to in the upcoming weeks and as the jlamore.com west coast reporter I need to look my very best.
Also, thanks for sending me the hand and body lotion too. I absolutely love it! I don't know how you find out about these products but, wow. That is such a great product and was such a surprise. I would have never thought to try it.

Holey Moley... I Can't Believe It's Not Fattening!!!

I'm excited for Jennifer's new "Favorite Things" blog. From a woman with such fabulous style and taste, I'm sure we'll learn some of her great fashion and beauty secrets! ;)

Unrelated to fashion, beauty, or style, I have a new favorite "treat" that I also must share with the J. LaMore friends. It's a LOW FAT gourmet donut!! (And yes, it's delicious!) It sounds too good to be true, but stay with me... Holey Donuts, based out of Brooklyn, New York, makes THE BEST DONUT I think I've ever tasted, and it just happens to be low fat and even low cal. (Seriously gals, how can we go wrong with that?) I've only tried the classic frosted vanilla, but it was way better than it's counterparts at Krispy Kreme or Dunkin' Donuts, and healthier too (my Holey Donut weighed in at 3 grams of fat and 148 calories, compared to 12 grams of fat and 200 calories for an original glazed at Krispy Kreme or 19 grams of fat and 350 calories for a glazed cake donut at Dunkin').

Their varieties are sure to please anyone's sweet tooth; among others, flavors include Caramel Apple, Chocolate Crumb, Raspberry Graham Cracker, Toasted Coconut, and Boston Creme Oreo Cookie! (Nutrition figures vary by flavor, so check out their website for more info.)

I've already placed orders for my parents and friends. Keep them in the freezer and pop them in the micro for a warm, moist donut whenever your heart desires. Or just let them thaw in the box at room temp. (The website also offers, on occassion, special deals and discounts - I got 60 free donut holes with my last order!)

Definitely give these a try. You can finally have your donut and eat it too! ...And paired with a lowfat latte, you're in for a sinful-tasting breakfast without the guilt (or at least much less)! Amen to that!

My Weekly Favorite Item

I'm a hair care product junkie, there, I said it. I hate to admit it, but it's so true! I collect and try new hair products on a weekly basis, always searching for the best "new thing." It's quite typical for me to use the product a couple of times and then put it in my closet, never to come out again. I stopped searching for sprays that would make my hair shine when I found this weeks favorite item: Ojon Shine and Glossing Mist Spray.

I've been using the Ojon Shine and Glossing Mist Spray for years and completely love it. It's an unbelievable light weight spray, that actually adds shine and softness to my hair without weighing it down or making it look greasy. I style my hair as usual and when I'm finished, I lightly spray my entire head with this incredible spray. Voila, gorgeous hair!

You can find this incredible spray at Ojon.com or Sephora.com (and Sephora stores). It costs $28 for 2 ounces. Pricey, but worth it. For a limited time, lucky online shoppers at jlamore.com will get this $28 bottle of Ojon for free with any purchase! Be sure to enter promo code, "ojonshine" at checkout!

Enjoy!

The color is so fresh and the style is to die for! I love it all!

Ashley Dupre at NY Fashion Week!

Being a reporter of any kind is easy when you have a scoop. Especially a real juicy one. And in fashion, the egos are large and so are the stories. Even if it really is kind of silly and not really important.

Much to the shock and dislike of designer Yigal Azrouel, sitting in the front row of his New York Fashion Week runway show was Ashley Dupre. You remember her, she was former New York Govenor Elliot Spitzer's favorite call girl who somehow slipped past the front row checker and watched the entire show looking fantastic and nabbing all the attention away from the designer. Ashley became "the buzz" of the show. (Ouch!. . . I think)

The story goes like this: Azrouel told WWD that he was reviewing the front row seating chart with People's Revolution, Kelly Cutrone and never saw Dupre's name on the list. "I don't know who she is or what she looks like. I didn't know she was there." Cutrone claims that Dupre crashed the show.

Dupre claims that she had been invited by Cutrone to attend the show and showed up with her manager Charles Suitt. Apparently Dupre is trying her hand at a singing career. (Who knew.)

By late afternoon Cutrone was doing damage control. Cutrone acknowledged she invited Dupre to the Davidelfin show at 4 p.m. and the Azrouel show was at 11 a.m. (Surely the one thing a former call girl knows how to do is tell time.) Cutrone claims that ". . . Dupre has never met Yigal Azrouel, does not know Yigal Azrouel, and is not wearing Yigal Azrouel. . . . " A declaration that did not satisfy Azrouel. (The horror of it all)

"I'm not going to work with Cutrone anymore," he said. "I'm trying to be calm about the situation but I'm really not happy about it."

OMG! See I told you it wasn't that big of a deal. Is this the wrong or right kind of publicity? So what's the problem if a former call girl sits in the front row of your show. She is gorgeous and more famous then you are. Get over it Yigal.

Vegas Market

I just returned from a buying trip in Las Vegas. I attended three separate shows and found so many incredible items for us!

One of my favorite new finds is a brand called 32 Flavors...by YBF. They specialize in printed t-shirts and cashmere sweaters. I can't wait to get them in! Expected delivery is 6/30/09. On a side note, the designer of the brand, Heidi Cornell, was just featured on the popular television show, Millionaire Matchmaker. She was the first woman millionaire to be featured on the program. Not only is she a successful designer, but she's absolutely gorgeous and a mom to a 16 month old daughter. As you can tell by this picture of her, she has it all going on!

Spring Fever!

Could winter be any worse?! I'm not sure why my parents decided that I should grow up in Wisconsin... there is nothing I hate more than snow and being cold!! I cannot wait for spring! I'm already planning my wardrobe for when it gets warm. I can't wait to wear dresses like this Miss Me "Lemon Drop" Dress! Yellow is the perfect spring color, and this dress is so great! The detailing is beautiful.

Now if only the snow would melt and the temps would rise....I'm counting down the days!

An update on the The Oscar's!

Hi Jennifer: Congratulations on being voted in the top 100 online stores. I knew it all along but that's a big accomplishment. Wow! (I love your new hair by the way. So cute!) I love the new LookBook update too and this Flavio Castellani dress. Yummy!

As your humble west coast corespondent for all things glitzy and glamorous. I have a short personal report for you on this years Oscar week and weekend and let me tell you, it was anything but exciting. I was only invited to one Oscar party. One! Are you kidding me. I was shocked! Last year there wasn't enough time in the day to get to all the parties but this year the low key melancholy atmosphere was clearly on center stage and bummed everyone out. The normal list of parties to go to and be seen was, well, . . . . . in recession.

It seems that the talk of the town was not all the parties but all the people and businesses that weren't having parties. Cartier no suite. Not even a tent. Harry Winston and Choppard from Rodeo Drive only worked small gatherings out of their stores. (By invitation only)

Jimmy Choo was there, as usual, and so was Nadja Swarovski from the Swarovski fashion division. They had a big party on the rooftop of Thompson Beverly Hills Hotel. I couldn't get in this year because the attendance was limited 250 when last year it 750. So, my friends and I hung out in the hotel bar with around 500 hundred other frustrated wanna-be's and had a great time. I looked fantastic by the way and told everyone I met and ran into about jlamore.com.

Vanity Fair made a comeback this year but the party was low key at best. Thousands of people gathered to see if Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were going to show up. In addition, the swag bag give-a-ways came to a screeching end.

The one private party I did attend on Saturday night was exciting and wild so I made the best of it. No A-Lister's attended the event but the music was fantastic and the place was packed. Drinks flowed and all night and the limos and town cars all left the scene at 5:00am. Needless to say, I was tired on Sunday morning.

The big party everyone was talking about was the party Prince was throwing at a secret location. We spent most of Saturday night trying to figure out where it was going to be. Let me just say this that if you're going to a party, go to one put on by a rock star.

On Oscar night, my friends and I will be going to the Mercedes Benz viewing and after-party at the Montage Beverly Hills. This would be a fantastic party and a great place to meet new people and be seen.

(I was at a rock-n-roll party some time ago and it was wild. However, you were not allowed to bring in cameras or take pictures with cellphones and security was tight. If you broke a rule security would escort you out the back door and take your picture so you couldn't get back in. Needless to say I followed the rules.)

I have to go to work now. I'll be in touch.

Chaudry

I just purchased the Chaudry "Romania" Tunic in blue! I'm very excited...I picture this worn with some light blue denim shorts and a silver pair of flat gladiator sandals. Of course I'm going to have to wait a while to wear that look since it's snowing in NY today :(
I'm definitely an early shopper when it comes to seasons changing. I just get too excited!
Oh, and I hope that I'm one of those lucky customers to get the Neutrogena lotion!!!!

My Weekly Favorite Item. . . !

Hi Everyone. I am starting a weekly favorite item where I write about my favorite things and will then give them away to a select few customers who place online orders. (It's first come first serve.)

Each week the new item will be something different and the item will vary in price and category.

This week the item is "Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Body Moisturizer and Daily Therapeutic Lotion, Original Fragrance. (not fragrance free as shown here) I use this product every day and love it. It's better then my Prada lotion which is 8 times the cost. I highly recommend it and you can get it at Walgreen's for about $8.50.

I use it everyday and the choice was perfect for the first item to give away to a select few customers. Please know that the give away may include five, ten or even twenty customers. Be sure to enter promo code "neutrobody" at checkout!

Good luck and I hope all of you enjoy this product.

Jennifer
