Elie Tahari

Elie Tahari grew up in an Israeli orphanage and immigrated to the US in the 1970's. After his arrival in New York he began selling clothing in a boutique in Greenwich Village. It was here he was introduced to his first love, designing women’s fashion. At the young age of 25, Elie Tahari became one of the foremost figures in fashion with the opening of his first boutique on Madison Avenue in New York.

Woman have been drawn to Elie Tahari designs for over three decades, and his devoted following continues to revel in the feminine embellishments, sensual fabrics, and subtle textures that have come to define the Elie Tahari collection. Elie Tahari believes clothing should be “quieter than the woman,” so that her true beauty can shine through.
