Love It!!

LOVE the new Twisted Heart items! Like I was just bloggin' about... I need comfy!!And so do all of my other college bound friends. For the ones who plan to attend the University of Wisconsin, I can't stop thinking about how great of a gift the Twisted Heart "Love" Hoodie would be for graduation! It would get them in the Wisconsin Badger spirit for sure!Perfect to wear to football games because it's light, but it's still comfy and warm!

Hmmm... anything Black and Yellow coming in soon?? ( I know, horrible school colors.)

The best fashion and shopping advice that I’ve been given comes from some of my favorite (and very stylish) friends:

My favorite store owner, Jennifer LaMore, has always said to err on the side of overdressed rather than underdressed, if in doubt. It has been great advice, and I allows follow it.

My very chic hairdresser reminds me, when in doubt, to dress for the next season. I’m always fashion forward with that in mind.

My best friend Tanya follows a shopping rule I’ve come to abide by, almost religiously… She shops often (as Jennifer suggests) but rarely buys anything “on the spot.” She keeps a mental list of the items she has to have, and the items she’s still thinking about a few weeks later are the items she knows she MUST buy. She always ends up with pieces she absolutely loves!

And my own advice… if you’re going to splurge, do it on handbags and jewelry – you’ll have them forever and can pass them down to your daughters…

The best shopping advice I can give is to shop often! Seriously. This doesn't mean you have to buy often, it means shop often to find the best selection.

At J. LaMore, we get in new items every week, if not every day. If you aren't shopping on a regular basis, you will miss out on items that could be perfect for you. So shop often and buy only what you love! My love this week are the Boutique 58 Waldo pumps in black. They will be my next purchase.

I have a question for all of the friends-

What is the best piece of fashion advice you have ever received? Do you have a motto, or a little voice in your head telling you what to buy when you shop?

The best fashion advice I have ever received comes from, surprisingly, my dad, who received the advice from, suprisingly, his dad! (My grandpa, my dad, and my uncle are very handsome and fashionable men!) He always told me to save my money for a few classic, quality items rather than lots of cheap, not-so-well-made things. "Foundation Pieces" can last several seasons and withstand lots of use, while cheaply-made items won't remain in style, and won't last past a few washings. For example, I have some capris that I wear weekly that I bought from J.Lamore 4 years ago, while a pair of jeans from a large-name clothing store in the mall didn't last more than 1 year! (plus, the fit was never quite right)

J.Lamore has so many classic "Foundation Pieces", from wide-leg trousers to jeans to dresses... Save your money and buy a few things that you know will last!

Hoop Earrings

The June issue of InStyle Magazine covers hoop earrings in its "What's HOT NOW" section (page 242). In the feature, Ellen Pompeo is shown in a pair that very much remind me of the Chan Luu Silver Earrings from J. LaMore. Although Ms. Pompeo's are surrounded in small diamonds, the silver beads surrounding the Chan Luu hoops are equally elegant and provide just the right amount of sparkle! I just bought the Chan Luu earrings and have already worn them to work, out on Saturday night, and shopping on Sunday afternoon. ...Incredibly versatile!

Celebrity Spotting in Miami...

Emily and I had a great time at brunch yesterday-we even had a celebrity spotting. I felt someone staring at me, and when I looked up it was the main guy from Miami Ink! (Ami James,the bald one) He was probably checking me out because I looked so good in my J.Lamore outfit... (ha ha)

Too much fun!

Hi Everyone!

I am back from my weekend "Up North" with my girlfriends! We had so much fun!

It was a J. LaMore fashion show all weekend long! We packed all of our favorite tops and jeans and had fun seeing who was going to wear what! All I can say is, everyone looked so great!

The outfit I wore that was my favorite was the ABS wide legged Kate jean with the Susana Monaco white Lauren halter top. I layered the top with a bunch of Chan Luu necklaces, it looked great! Of course, the cowboy hat had to come out too! Yee Haw!

Craving Comfy!!!

I noticed that my latest J. LaMore purchases have all been dresses or dressed up tops. Considering I'll be going off to college in the fall, what I REALLY need to start looking into is J. LaMore's comfy clothes!! My favorite brand for that would definitely be Twisted Heart. Seriously, their sweatpants fit amazing!

Today I tried on the Twisted Heart "Lucy Pant" and I fell in love!! I usually have to wear a Medium in sweatpants since I'm almost 5'5 and we all know flooding sweats will never be in style. Twisted heart makes their sweats long enough that I can fit into the small- so they fit perfect!! They are so cute in black and gray, they would be perfect to wear to class!

Salvage Top

I love the new Salvage "Overkill" Tank Top!! It looks amazing in the lookbook, very hot paired with those jeans!! Jennifer wore it the other night at Jim's birthday party and it looked SO great! She paired it with leggings and it was the perfect outfit for the event. Jennifer, if you have any pictures you should post them so everyone can see how great this top is!!

Can you believe it's already June? Where has time gone!
