Hi Amanda: As a resident of Boston I have been to more then a few Red Sox games and the first thing to think about is COMFORT. You indicated that the game is after work, so you're going to a night game. Lucky you! It's better then sitting in the hot sun.
Since you're going to impress clients, or get new clients, a great pair of designer jeans is a perfect thing for a night game. This pair of Antik Denim I think is perfect. You'll fit right in and look hot at the same time. I also think a great casual top is the way to go for a ball game. You wear a sexy top and going to the bathroom will draw a lot of attention (and a few cat calls.)

We have some friends who work for the Florida Marlins, so we often go to games and sit in sky-boxes and suites. My recommendation would be any pair of jeans from J. LaMore and a sassy top. Dress up the casual event with some wedges and funky jewelry, and you'll look great without looking like you are overdressed! I know at Yankees games, the predominant color is black, so maybe you can wear a cute black top like the Laquette "Scoop Neck Banded Tunic", Boutique 58 "Emma Jane" Black Sandals, and some big-beaded colorful jewelry. The best fashion and shopping advice that I’ve been given comes from some of my favorite (and very stylish) friends:
My favorite store owner, Jennifer LaMore, has always said to err on the side of overdressed rather than underdressed, if in doubt. It has been great advice, and I allows follow it.
My very chic hairdresser reminds me, when in doubt, to dress for the next season. I’m always fashion forward with that in mind.
My best friend Tanya follows a shopping rule I’ve come to abide by, almost religiously… She shops often (as Jennifer suggests) but rarely buys anything “on the spot.” She keeps a mental list of the items she has to have, and the items she’s still thinking about a few weeks later are the items she knows she MUST buy. She always ends up with pieces she absolutely loves!
And my own advice… if you’re going to splurge, do it on handbags and jewelry – you’ll have them forever and can pass them down to your daughters…
